Amy Guzzi is a certified elementary school teacher who has worked at Kidsborough since 2005. Previously she served as Kindergarten Coordinator for the program, where her responsibilities included developing the core Kindergarten curriculum. In the fall of 2010 Amy helped launch the new Medfield site, and has served as Site Coordinator since that time. Amy graduated from St. Mark’s School and Clark University, where she majored in Psychology. She started her teaching career as a second grade teacher in Marlborough.
Among the things that Amy finds rewarding in her position are:
- Developing the relationships with the families and children who attend
- Organizing and executing the larger events such as the Spring Talent Show and the End-of-Year Art Show
- The daily interaction with the kids, and seeing them grow and develop over the course of the 9 month school year program
When not at Kidsborough Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and four grown kids. On any given Saturday you might find her at the golf course, on a lake in Maine, or at Amherst College women’s Soccer games.
