Dear Hopkins families,
We are very pleased to announce Elizabeth Eastwood as our new Site Coordinator for the Kidsborough at Hopkins program.
With over six years of experience working in educational settings with school aged children, Elizabeth brings curiosity, inventiveness, and infectious enthusiasm to programming. Activities including optical illusions, hot air balloons, rockets, nature explorations, slimes, and electronic creations are among the many that engage her students and leave them eager for more science, engineering and artistic creativity and challenge!
As an explorer and lover of nature, Elizabeth is an avid gardener – indoor an out! Among her other skills and talents, she speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and loves practicing Hindi and Haitian Creole, too! A fun fact – Elizabeth was a rugby player with one of Costa Rica’s first female teams!
Elizabeth believes that in order to reach moments of positive risk taking and creative discovery children need a learning community in which they feel that they are safe and they belong, they are valued and they have voice. She is excited to join you in helping your children tap into their immense individual potential, and inspire them to grow in confidence and love of learning!
Please join us in welcoming Ms. Eastwood to Kidsborough!
